Vision of PCAF
The social position of disabled people in Ghana is poor. Driven by unawareness, ignorance and at times even old beliefs that disabled are cursed, disabled in the rural areas of Ghana tend to be excluded from daily life.

PCAF believes strongly in the potential of disabled people to lead meaningful lives. With proper attention, training and care, the vast majority of the disabled can overcome their disadvantaged position and contribute to society. In PCAF's vision, the key in taking care of the disabled is in empowerment. PCAF does this by hosting disabled people as resident students for a limited period in dedicated centres (usually between 1-4 years). During this time, the students are taught vocational skills that fit with their capabilities, improve their self-confidence and spirit and prepare them to venture independently after graduation.

Our mission
PCAF aims to achieve the following goals:

• To bring together all people who are in one way or the other maimed or deformed
• To train members to acquire some technical or vocational skills
• To seek solution where possible to their disability by providing access to orthopaedic services and surgery
• To prevent members from leading secluded lives by involving them in social and other sporting activities
• To promote co-operative ventures
• To fully utilise the resources of the society for the benefit of all members
• To affiliate with individuals, benevolent and charitable organisations and agencies in and outside Ghana in order to strengthen each other's capabilities
