An important goal of PCAF is the provision of access to orthopedic surgery for its students. These specialised skills are scarce, and PCAF works together with a number of hospitals that are capable of performing these interventions. One of these is the St. John's Hospital located at Duayaw Nkwanta, which is about a two hour drive from Offinso. Although there is a small fund for the most acute medical aid, PCAF is dependent on gifts and donations to cover medical expenses.
Depending on the type of intervention and its complexity, rehabilitation takes place at these hospitals or at the PCAF centre in Maase that has a basic physiotherapy facility.
